This week has seen the brickwork nearing completion with the south and east gable ends of the main building completed and the gable end of the lower object-store.
On the roof, six Vellux windows have now been fitted in the main office (with some great views of the valley). A GRP roof has been installed on top of the lift tower. A start has been made on the slates on the main roof.
Inside, electrical work continues with trunking for switches and sockets being installed. More partition walls have been erected, creating the six toilets on the first floor.
Next week should see the brickwork completed, slates fitted on the main roof, partition walls on the second floor and the scaffolding will begin to come down, giving a sneak preview of the name of the new museum attraction. Watch out for more announcements soon!
