This week Tolent officially handed over the new museum to the charities trustees. The ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Councillor Stuart Smith. The. Council have been the Museum’s partner throughout the project.
The sun shone and our Land of Iron flag waved above the building.
At the same time we were able to thank the team at Tolent for all their hard work in delivering such a high quality building which we can be proud of.
Over the coming weeks the museum team will begin to move into the building as it gets further fitted out with rolling storage for our collection, a new reception and retail area and the main exhibition. We will share more photos - without giving too much away!
