Most work continues to be indoors but this week the section external wall from the former shop area was rendered. This highlight the original Pease brick which was recovered from demolition works last year.
Internally, a section of the exhibition wall was plastered in preparation for a mural to be painted.
With the floor polishing completed last week, work can progress on the boarding and decorating of the ground floor.
The electrical second fix continues with sockets and light fittings being installed.
Handrails and other aids have been fitted in the accessible toilets.
In the original mine buildings, a new false floor is being installed to accommodate the differing floor levels between the original and new buildings. This will also improve the slopes for wheelchair access.
