Our last update of 2021
This week has been mainly closing down and securing the site for the 2-week break over Christmas and New Year.
There has still been quite a lot of progress.
Reinforcement mesh has been laid on the first- and second-floor metal decking, ready for the concrete floors to be poured on 13th January.
Bricklayers have made a start on the blockwork wall between the existing buildings and the new museum. They return on 4th January to continue work.
Several deliveries of blocks this week, which have been moved into position ready for the bricklayers when they restart in the new year.
The roof joists on the former reception have been reinstated.
In the first week of the New Year bricklayers will restart and the tower crane will be installed.
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2022 from the construction project team and all at the Museum.
