After two weeks of dry weather, we have paid the price this week. Several days of cold, rain and even snow have slowed down external progress.

The brickwork was completed this week (barring a few things which cannot be done until later in the project.

Progress on the main roof has been delayed most of the week as the roof area is too slippery to work. The second-floor dormer roof has been constructed and underlay and lats fitted.

The dormer above the link between the new and original building has been constructed ready for a a large window to be installed.

Partitioning is mainly complete on the first floor as is the electrical "first fix". Cables have been run to switches and sockets and this week, fire alarm cabling has been started.

Next week, weather permitting, roofers can restart their work. The staircase between the new and original building will be hand-built by Tolent's joiners. The underfloor heating installation will begin on the first floor (the only floor that is sufficiently water-tight)
