The museum was a hive of activity this week with bricklayers, electrical and mechanical fitters, roofers and partitioning installers all at work.
The brickwork on the lift tower is now complete on two sides, as is the main peak on the south wall which is now topped by a "chimney". Work continues on the other two sides of the tower.
All of the main roof has been felted and the west-facing Vellux windows installed.
There has been further progress with the electrical cabling on the ground and first floors.
Partition walls have been erected on the first floor to the education classroom, toilets and collections office.
Next week will possibly see the brickwork completed, and continuing work on the roof (slates), electrical and mechanical installation and more partition walls.
