This week the building continued to take shape.
On Monday the pre-cast concrete staircase arrived in 4 sections. These were skillfully lifted over the steel framework and carefully manoeuvred into position.
On Thursday the team arrived to install the metal decking that will form the base for the concrete first and second floors. Working solidly, the team managed to install all of the decking in just 2 days.
Bricklayers built the new west blockwork wall to the Tom Leonard Gallery. This will allow the new roof timbers to be installed after Christmas.
Next week the bricklayers return to begin constructing the internal blockwork walls.
