What a difference (mostly) dry weather makes!

The object store roof has now been covered in underlay and battens. Slates have been fitted to large sections of the main roof. Smoke vents have been installed at the top of the main stairs - these open automatically in the event of a fire to draw smoke out of the stairwell.

Electrical and Mechanical first fixes have continued

The first-floor screed has been poured and levelled (still drying out so could not walk on it to take photos)

Second-floor partitioning is almost complete

A new stair has been constructed by Tolent's joiners to link the first floor of the new building to the Tom Leonard Gallery in the historic building.

The new roof on the temporary exhibition space was also completed

ENext week the underfloor heating pipe work and screed will be laid on the second floor.
