Work continued in preparation for the first pour of the concrete base of the new building.
The reinforcement cages were put into position for the area which will be the new object store and archive. These were then fixed together and covered with a further layer of reinforcement.
The wooden shuttering was then fixed into place around the floor area.
The production line of reinforcement cages continues for the next section which will be the base of the main 3-storey museum building.
Northern Powergrid engineers connected the new 133 kVA 3-phase electricity supply.
