This week saw more of the block- and brickwork being completed. The main gable end is almost complete, the lift tower is well on the way.
The roofers have completed the slate roof to the retail area and started felting the main roof of the new building (large green areas on the photos). Half of the roof trusses above the object store are in place (the other half needs to wait for scaffolding to be removed)
Inside, first-fix continues with much of the plumbing done, electric cabling started and the Tom Leonard Gallery has a new floor.
Next week brickwork will continue as will felting the main roof and electrical first fix. Plasterboarding and partition walls will begin on the first floor.
