Create your own incredible print, inspired by industrial history
Join us for a hands-on creative workshop where you’ll design and print your own unique woodblock image, taking inspiration from the remarkable work of Viva Talbot.
Viva was a little-known but extraordinary artist who, in the 1930s, stepped into the male-dominated world of iron and steel to document the industry through a powerful series of wood engravings. Her work captured the skill, strength and rhythm of industrial Britain like no one else – and now it's your turn to follow in her footsteps.
This workshop is suitable for all ages and no previous experience is needed. Just bring your imagination and be ready to roll up your sleeves!
Perfect for: Families, budding artists, history lovers and anyone keen to try something new. All materials provided.
Workshops take place 10am-1pm:
