The first rail rolled at Skinningrove in January 1912.
This commemorative rail was presented to Richard Rutherford. Richard was the rolling mill manager at the South Wales Iron and Steel Complex in Port Talbot. Before he moved to Wales he had worked at Skinningrove Iron and Steel Works.
